Alright guys, I purchased a wolfe weld-in 4pt roll bar for my 2002 SS Convertible. I began install when I received the kit on Jan 5. I would have had to finished a lot quicker but I ran out of paint and had to order more. That set me back about two weeks. I finished the entire install yesterday. I painted it to match my body color. I think it turned out pretty sweet. I bought some roll bar padding off E-bay. Figured it needed something else, so I had my mom make me some covers for the padding. I bought all the material and zippers at Wal-Mart. Check it, let me know what ya think.

It's a super tight fit. I was worried the first time I put the top up, but it cleared. It has about half an inch clearing at the tightest spot

I have their 6 point cage in my vert. I really dig the look of the exposed cage when the top is down

Nice Job! I like you moms handy work with the covers. Its like the finishing touch. BTW why did you install a 4 pt. and not a 6 pt?

Budget, plus I can always add the side bars in the future if I feel that I need them.

It'd be hard to do with the seats in, if not impossible. To get the carpet out of the way enough to weld in, you pretty much have to remove the seats. It's a simple job to get them out though. 4 bolts per seat plus one quick-disconnect wire on the drivers seat.

It's like a nylon material. I went to Wally World and found something I thought would hold up. I bought enough to do everything twice (in case of screw ups) for around $6. The zippers add up though. I ended up spending around $20 for zippers.

Does that 4pt roll bar stiffen up the car at all?

I can't say yes or no. Over the winter I installed Koni shocks, Strano springs and the roll bar all at the same time. Rollbar probably didn't stiffen it up much, if any. You'd want a 6pt for stiffness or subframe connectors, which I will purchase soon.
