What Heads and Cam with Maggie?
2006 Corvette A6 build:
Magnacharger mp112
AFR 205's 65 cc OR Edelbrock Xtreme rpm 214's 65cc ?
Crane 1.8 roller rockers OR Yella Terra 1.8 shaft mount rockers?
Crane extreme duty springs and hardened pushrods
Yank 3200 stall converter
?? F/I Cam?? Which one?
As you can see I need some direction. My goal is 550 rwhp and 600 rwtq and a mid 10 second E.T. Does anyone know the difference between the Crane and Yella Terra rockers? The Crane roller rockers are almost double the cost of the Yella Terra shaft mounts and I would think the shaft mounts would make the valve train more stable. Also the Yella Terra's don't require the heads to be machined like the Crane shaft mount rockers.
Now for the cylinder heads. I'm sure everyone would agree AFR makes a great set of cylinder heads. I'm considering the 205's from AFR and the Edelbrock Xtreme rpm 214's. Both sets of heads are 65 cc. The edelbrock heads seem to be the most bang for the buck, however these heads are only machined in the critical areas. Is that going to make a big difference in the power?
I'm also looking for input on an aggressive F/I cam. I've had a few suggestions but the cams that were reccomended seemed to mild. EPP sounds like they have a good one, but I can't find it on their web site. I need some suggestions.

I was always told that a low lobe seperation was bad for boost. (Ex 112 lsa.) What would be a good boost cam then? I'd like something around 232/240, .580-.600 lift with 1.8 rockers. Will AFR 205's make me lose boost? What heads would be best?

You may be right, but the idea of valve overlap bleading boost makes sense to me. Check with the FI guys. I'm pretty sure overlap is not good. Anyway, yes you will see less boost with a better flowing setup, but you will also see more power. You'll have to swap pulleys to "see" the same boost number

Let's clear up the confusion. Overlap at .05 is just 2* and that is not an issue for FI. The 64* of overlap is at advertised duration of .004 or .006
With a maggie, I'm not sure why you're trying to squeeze low end TQ out of the heads. The constant displacement of the maggie pretty much does that for you with just a tiny bit of lag compared to a true NA car. I'd be inclined to leave the heads alone and maybe a little earlier IVC on your cam.

This is the car I'd recommend for you. You can also do an LG FI cam. You'll need a high stall to pair up with it.

I don't care for the cam specs you have listed above. JMO
