Grand sport Info and questions?
ok so can someone give me the exact details on what the grand sport is? ever is different. So far I have found its a LS3 vette with Z06 fenders etc body mods and can be had with targa or coupe or vert. what else? whats the real info? also why isn't it on chevy's website? also can you get them in any color or only specific colors?

For the most part it has the wide body option, wider wheels and a upgraded suspension. Definately kind of pricey. I choose the used Z06 option and got the bad boy 427 motor.

Also without the aluminum frame.
The GS can get expensive, very easily into Z06 pricing, when optioning it.
The GS comes with the Z51 as standard equipment. Also the coupe w/M6 comes with the dry sump and engine is built @ Wixom PBC
The M6 also gets its own special gearing ratios

Maybe you don't know how to use a browser properly. It's laid out with plenty of information: http://www.chevrolet.com/corvette/
Grand sport Coupe and Convertible have their own sections on the site.

I was aggravated all week long from my go to chevy salesman about trading in my 09 for a 2011 grandsport....Fully loaded they are in the high 60's...Stripped down in the mid 50's. Hell ive seen some in the 70's...After weighing all the optioins i found myself looking at other used z06's...IMO you would have to be a freaking idiot to buy a grand sport over a z06....Almost the same price and z06 will DESTROY A GRANDSPORT.......Either man up and buy a slightly used zr1 or buy a way faster way cheaper slightly used "race car" in the z06......

Considering you can pick up a gently used Z06 for less than a new Grand Sport, though, I'd definitely go for the Z06 (again).

I definitely agree. A GrandSport is a nice car, but it is not a Z06 any more than a Z07 optioned Z06 is a ZR1. The GS has none of the weight saving options (carbon fiber panels, aluminum frame) that give the Z06 its handling characteristics. Not to mention the low end torque of the bigger cubed motor. But for those who want a removable roof or a convertible, it's still a nice Vette.

I paid $49K for mine. 2LT, Hert package, comp gray wheels, NPP and museum delivery. Its not a ZO6, but its plenty of car for the average car guy. Mine will be supercharged by the end of the Winter. A&A kit, headers and a blower cam 600RWHP+ here I come.
