I noticed the new Gransport is a little heavier than the base Vette. 3320 vrs. 3240#. I cant believe Ford is so lame they dont add a 11" or 12" wide tire on that car. You can get in a new Vette for 5k to 8k off MSRP and the Ford is still going for around sticker.

Why do people continue to compare Mustangs to Vettes. They are 2 different breeds of cars. A better comparison would be the Mustang and new Camaro. At least then the Mustang stands a chance of winning.

I would have to agree with you...
Try and buy a Gransport for anything less than MSRP- I paid 70k for a 82k MSRP 2009 ZO6. 65k Gransport 70k ZO6 - I dont think so. The ZO6 is hands down a faster, better car than a GRANSPORT- 3338# for the GS - 3180# ZO6
I do hope everyone starts buying Gransport though.

Edmunds shows that the average price being paid for grand sports is under msrp.
The price difference between the stang and vette is closer than stang vs. camaro. When the z28 comes out it will be the perfect camaro competition for the gt500. Although, if the cts-v is any indication it will destroy the current gt500.

The only reason they get compaired is because the price is so close on both. Yes they are two completly different cars. I love the shelly and I love the grand sport. I would buy a shelby but I want a good track car, and I like the removable roof. That doesn't take away from how bad *** the shelby is, my friends is putting 740 at the tires and to date is fastest car I have ever been in. On the other hand we know how fast the ls3 is with a cam and headers. So if you need a back seat the shelby is for you If not grand sprot all the way.

I ordered a 2010 MN6 Cyber Grey GS today w/ NPP, 2LT, Comp grey wheels and museum delivery for $49,500 MSRP was over $60K. Levels the financial playing field a bit.

If you like pushing 3900 lbs around, get the GT500...
not a big fan of the GrandSport though. Chevy is trying too hard to be Ford. Version/variant of every car for every demographic x 2.
