Default C5 Z06 as a DD?

any regrets as having a C5 or C5 Z06 as a daily driver? I am beating my brains as to getting one but still a little uncertain , driving will be half city half hw miles so mpg should be decent.

I had a 2002 C5Z as a DD for a couple of years, loved it. My biggest fear was always getting damage from other cars in the parking lot but other than that I always looked forward to my commute in that car. I would put it away sometime between Thanksgiving and Xmas.

The C5Z can be used as an excellent daily driver. Just not in the winter time, lol. On the highway I have gotten as much as 35mpg. Tho the average is more like 32mpg or so. Great car that is fast, dependable and get damn good gas mileage.

I have daily driven my 2000 coupe for 18 months now. Love it. 70 miles a day, 5 days a week.

It could be used as a daily drive until the winter comes around, but I chose not to.

I would love to drive mine more often but it is an inconvience sometimes because some of the places I go I don't trust to leave my car sit, it's not even the area, it's just random ******* kids that can't have something nice so they destroy other peoples ****.

I had my car keyed on a college campus, where noone even knew me.

If I ever caught someone in the act of doing that to someones car...man would it be bad

My 02 Z is my only car. Only downsides as a DD are ground clearance issues, you have to be wary of crappy entrances off the road, speed bumps, etc. Also as others mentioned I also don't like parking the car someplaces, kinda cringe leaving it in Walmart or grocery store parking lots, etc. But the car itself is good to go as a DD IMO.

I wouldn't buy one as the only vehicle, i drive my truck when it rains. The drag radials like to float a little on standing water. And trunk space can be limiting depending on what you need. But besides rain i daily drive mine. Its great.

San Fernando Valley. Come out to Bob's Big Boy in Burbank on Friday. I'm there just about every Friday around 9pm.

Ive daily driven my cammed c5z for about a year now. Put close to 15-20K within that year. Not something you want to drive everyday, DEPENDING on where you live.

A base C6 vs a C5Z is a totally different driving experience. I think it's pretty obvious that a C6 will be a better daily driver than a C5Z, but the OP was asking if the C5Z was a good daily driver - which it is.
