New best in my bolt ons only/naturally aspirated C6 LS2 - 10.7@127.29mph
Car is a 2006 Corvette LS2 automatic with the typical bolt ons yet still retains it's stock 2.56 gears.
10.78@127.29mph on a 1.51 sixty foot.
Eclipsed 100mph (100.55mph) in the 1/8th and 127mph (127.53mph) in the 1/4 for the first time ever and even a new best sixty foot of 1.50.
Here's a copy of the three best time slips (car# 364):

Thanks Bob and Gary, glad that we all accomplished/achieved some awesome goals this season, I'm very pleased.
Not quite all of the bolt ons but many of them...headers/X-pipe, CAI, 3200 stall converter, FAST intake/ported throttle body, tuning, drag radials/skinnies etc.
If I were buying a used C6 LS2 right now I would start with a 2005, especially if I were seeking an automatic.
I do love my A6 (6L80) trans and the stellar highway fuel economy that it generates but the A4 (4L65) is simply easier to deal with/tune and rebuild stronger. Plus the 2005s are a little cheaper to buy now as well leaving more funds freed up for modifications.
I agree but it's a little deceiving as well because the first few gears in the A6 trans are quite steep making those 2.56s perform a lot more like a much shorter (numerically higher) gear in an A4 car.

Thank's for the info.... And ya I was debating the A6 vs the A4.... the A6 seemed appealing for the gas mileage as its mostly going to be a good weather crusing car. Forged stroker motor is going to be done just before I park it, "once its close to pay off" as it is being put in storage for roughly 15 years after that..... It's almost sad, but I am actually buying it for my "almost 3" year old son.... Haven't decided if I'm waiting until he's 16 or 18, but basically I'm giving him my "dream car" but want it ready for boost incase the cars 18 years from now are simply just that much better.....
Thanks for all the great info, more for me to consider as I never really gave the transmission much thought.... and sorry for the life story, just figured I'd explain what my plans were for mine..
Great numbers......makes me more then a little jealous!

Oh it's got a cam and even a couple of cylinder heads...but they're the exact same ones that came in and on all of the other GM OEM LS2s from the factory.
The valve covers, oil pan, rear main and timing chain covers have never been off...an internally bone stock long block/motor.

3.90s or even 3.73s would likely be way too much gear, 1st gear might become totally useless as it's a 4.02 in the 6L80 trans, 3.15s might be the better choice.
Is it possible that a higher stall (3600-4000) and some gears (even just the 2008 and up optional 2.73s might work) could send this car into the 10.5x/high 10.4x range if it hooks?

Seems good to me because a lot guys will put as much gear as possible and can't get traction for the thing hook up... I remember i had to take gear out of my outlaw car for it to hook and I mean 370 gear from 411 with a 29 10.5 tire... Doesn't surprise me at all for him not to blow the tires plus pick up in mile and hour... Just my 2 cents!!!!!! Awesome run..... Remember sometime less is best!!!!

Don't a lot of 05's have electrical issues as well? I have been searching about them myself. Seems electrical issues and weak rear-ends so most of the money saved would be spent on a built differential. At least with the 4l65e you could build it once and be done with it
And yes, spending some money on a new rear can eat up some of the savings of having gone with the cheaper car in the first place but the initial savings over a newer model is often pretty notable and the new (and potentially much stronger than the 2006 and up) rear and simpler/easier to rebuild 4L65 can still make it all worth it.

Awesome times! My Dad has a bolt-on '07 Z51 6-speed. He can't get out of the 12's with the crappy F1 Supercar run-flats it came with, but I'm sure with a better tire mid 11's will probably come easily.
Also, maybe I missed it, but what size FAST intake did you get and what were the gains that you picked up with it?
