Can't say for your 01 but my 08 C6 with base brakes required no spacers. I did have to open the center bore a few thousandths. The bolt circle is slightly off too but no a problem. Just tighten each nut evenly.

You can pick up a cheap set of base brakes on Ebay if you need the clearance. Little more weight reduction too!

The bolt circle is off due to the bolt pattern not being the same, hence why you should not run them. It was posted years ago of people shearing studs off doing this.

F-body/C5-6 bolt pattern is 5 x 4 3/4 (5x120.65)
GTO/G8 is 5x120

Alot of people say the .65 wont make a difference, but when the wheel is hub centric and also using lug centric to center it and you make it hub centric and the lugs being offset you take a chance of weakening the lugs and breaking them down the road.

I know it will clear the brakes with no problem but without a Adapter/spacer the rims are very deep in the fender well and make the front look narrow and goofy, With a spacer it puts it pretty much flush like a factory rim...

The difference between the 2 is so minute that I wont effect anything, A **** load of people run these and have been in the 9's dozens of times without any problems.... The adapters you use anyways are hub centric and are ment for this...

They do sit farther in and I agree look "goofy" but for just a run down the track I don't see that being a big factor.

You can get wobbly nuts if you are concerned about the difference in bolt circles.

What size spacers are best for a good look without the spokes extending out past the fenders? I have seen some people with 2" and some with 1 1/4" any pics to show the offset would be great thanks
