Hey fellas just joined the site to do sum vette shoppin im a noob so flame on cactus in *** all that not sure if im even posting in the right section but anyways im gettin settlement check in 6 to 7 weeks from oilfield injuries im wanting a heads cam c5 coupe really wantin a blue one with mod red and black interior but will consider all c5 zo6 that I find so if any one been thinkin bout selling puttin a feeler out there or could turn me on to a good deal it would be much appreciated imgnot gettin cash for 6 weeks or so like I said so im startin to kinda look around I dnt care what state ill drive for the right car and also have a clean drag boat I could use for deposit to hold a car for purchase if anyone would be interested thanx for any help 918-520-6538 txt anytime

Thanx for the advice marc thats exactly what I been doin but I figured maybe if I got the word out there maybe someone that has a car not listed that was thinkin bout sellin but didnt wanna deal with all the calls and tire kickers I could be a guarantee sell ive been lurking the forums for while dreaming of the cars on here and im finally in a position to purchase one so hopefully the long time tech guys could turn me on to a good car

Im in the oil fields in CO, I just purchased my 2008 C6 about 6 months ago and love it, any reason you want a C5 over a C6?.

I would like a c6z and would love the ls7 I would be able to afford one but man there a lil out of my price range I found a few nice 06 and 07 GS cars that were reasonably priced but had few miles. But really c5 is my favorite body style I love a nice blue or silver c5z lowered on some f14's. Plus I broke my back and really wantin a heads cam car already done so I figure if I go c5 ill be able to afford a nice h/c car with decent miles and be able to buy wheels and still be in my price range. There are many c5 vs c6 threads ive seen but im afraid if I go c6z ill find a certain one fall in love and end up spending 45 grand. Hoping to get nice c5 and maybe procharge in the future and be just as happy as c6 owners and hopefully not get my *** drug by every c6 I come by. I guess all c6 owners would never go back to c5 after the c6 experiance?

I personally like the C5 better.

I had my buddies 2007 Ron Fellows Z06 (car #167) for a week and a half. I liked it. Don't get me wrong. But for the body and styling, and just feeling the raw sportiness of it, to me the C5 wins handily.

That particular Ron Fellows car is for sale too, lol.

What is your budget ? I have a C5Z that is now receiving a LSX454 in Ft Lauderdale. 9 sec all motor. A LOT of upgrades with only 55k miles. Black with black and leather interior.
I'm bring the Z up to another track rental in Maryland in December if its ready. This Z is a street car and well known on CF

I've driven my share of C5's and C6's but after spending a week driving my cousines C5 Z06 I felt like I got my *** kicked lol. Beautiful car, I work on it all the time adding go fast parts but ill stick with my 08 Z51.

lol at comparing a vette to a truck.

I drive a Z71 Tahoe daily, and my FRC sits in the dirt, feel every pump,..completely different animals lol. YES, i'd rather drive a truck on a longer trip. But, honestly, I would LOVE to find another C5,..or maybe a C6 to daily drive.
