Nice! I love the purple pearl metallic cars and to top it off they are really rare. I've only seen 2 in all the years the C5's have been around (saw one at a gas station just last week). Congrats on buying your car back.

Glad to see you got it back! I love rare colored C5s, I wish I had something a little less common than black.

Blasphemy! Black is the bestest color in the world. If you had something else, what would you do with all the time you spend now staring at scratches, swirl marks, nano-particles of dust and road grime...?

I could spend the time driving instead of waxing!

Seriously though, in order to keep the visible swirls and scratches to a minimum, I need to put a fresh coat of wax on my black paint every 2-3 weeks! If I don't, you can tell the car is 8 years old every time the sun hits it a certain way. But with fresh wax on it, the paint looks almost as good as new.

Black looks awesome when it's perfect, but it's just so much work and frankly I get kinda tired of needing to dust the car off after every trip. I really wish I could've found one in a lighter color that doesn't show every speck of dust and every hairline scratch.
