Yes.

I just bought a C5 Zo6 that has the '06 shifter mechanism and ****. Perfect balance with a short throw.

I don't know where to get it since it came with the car.

How does this compare to an aftermarket like B&M?

Guys on the corvette forum are selling these all the time for around $100. I sold mine when I updated to Callaway.

Sorry, I didn't mean compare in price but rather compare with shift feel. My stock shifter sucks to say the least. I am ready to upgrade and really like the look of the new shifter as long as it works well.

The shift feel is good. Solid, predictable. No harsh centering like I had with my old B&M. It's definitely a good upgrade over a shortened C5 shifter, which was previously my favorite shifter mod.

I didn't like the shifter in my 06 c6 and I upgraded to a hurst short throw. much better solid feel than the stocker

Only thing I wasn't happy with other short throws was the loss of leverage and aggressive centering action. Although some shifts were shortened it seemed like too many were messed up due to the feel of the shifter and the way my arm sat when shifting. FWIW.

The shifter i have is a hurst shifter and you can feel all the gears and it only takes a lil more effort than the stocker. The hurst was the only one out at the time b&m didnt have one neither or pro 5.0. My stocker used to hang up every time i tried to powershift the car since i put in the hurst i dont have that problem anymore.

I put the c6 Z06 shifter in my Z and I'm not sure if there is enough difference in the shifts to make it really worth the purchase but it definitly looks a lot nicer in the car. I guess that makes it all worth it to me. My Bird has the Hurst which I really prefer. The way I describe my shifters, when I drive the Vette the shifter knows where to go when you shift, when I drive the Bird you have to aim your shifts or you gonna miss it. That make sense??????????????LOL
