Default Borla Stainless Steel Rear Section

Hey everyone,

I'm posting this up for my friend who owns a 2002 corvette. Does anyone know if the sound quality from this Borla item is any good. It's part number 12649, link is here .

Thanks.

Borla straight pipes... VERY loud for my personal tastes. But everyone's tastes are different.

Some people say the Stingers (which have extra bends and an actual muffler that those pipes do not) are too loud or have too much resonance. Those pipes are quite a bit louder.

Would this rear section essentially make it seem as if he is running open headers. The car is still basically stock. Just a CAI and a Diablo Predator tune. The CATS are also still on. Thanks.

I would say, "yes". That ****'s gonna be loud! Mine's loud enough with the Stingers on it. But hey, to each his own!

I dont have a vette, but I have Borla on my TA and that site is what got me sold. I myself prefer the Corsa on a vette or bullets. But no doubt the Borla is loud but it has a nice tone. But also some drone on the highway.

Alright. Well thank you everyone for your input. Seems my friend is going with the rear section. I'll let you know how it goes.

I currently have long tubes, stock cats, bassani x-pipe, and the borla mentioned. It can be driven quiet but let-her-rip and it is loud!! I think it is nice for a occational outing but to much for a driver. Sounds like a ferarri on drugs! Not raspy. I have a Z06 Ti exhaust coming.

maybe its cause you have cats but every straight pipe borla I have heard has been very raspy. I personally like the sound of borla stingers or b&b bullets
