Default C6 Z06

Stupid question . Is the new 06-07 C6 Z06 engine an LS3 block?? The reason i ask, some vette guy said he got LS3 block from a 06-07 c6 ZO6 from one that was totaled. He said what makes it LS7 engine is the heads and cam but its a LS3 BLOCK, his words not mine.

i know in 08 c6 have the LS3 engine.
I know the in 01-02 there was LS6 block on camaro's and trans am but is was an LS1 engine. Is that the same as the vette??

The 08 C6 will have the LS3 which is the L92 block and heads along with a slightly revamped L76 intake. The L92 block is a 4.06" bore block and the LS7 block is a 4.125" bore block.

The LS7 and LS3 are two completely different beasts.

LS7 = 7.0L
LS3 = 6.2L

There is a lot of difference there. Not only that, but they were running the LS2 in the 05-07 years in the base vettes. LS3 didn't hit til now in the 08 runs.

What is the equation to calc CID? (in relation to bore and stroke) anybody know?

pi * ( bore / 2 ) * stroke * 8 = CID

You have eight cylinder shaped objects
