Default Vararam intake yes or no?

I have a BPP Vortex Rammer on my car currently and I have a buddy with a Vararam that I can get very cheap and was wondering if it would even be worth looking into since they are very similiar set ups with just different inlet locations!

What happens when you and your buddy hit it from a 50-60 mph roll?
My guess is that the Vararam pulls out a bit....I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Well, my friend, you have come a loooong way from a 10 second Honda and a Termy to be where you are at right now!
The Vararam will feel like a million bucks with your set up, I'd expect at least 2 mph gain over your current CAI.

Good luck, let us know how you like it.

I've had a bunch of different cold air intakes...VaraRam is by far my favorite. I never did any real research on flow or hp numbers, but I did notice that on my datalogs that my IAT's were consistently 10-15 degrees lower than anything else that I had. In my opinion, that's worth some power.

I would go vararam. I researched the living hell out of this before I made my decision. All the information I read seem to put the vara at the top of the heap. I can not wait to get my vara on the car. I am buying one off of a member on here who is local to me. Do some searching and you will find what everyone is saying is true. I do not believe there is another CAI for the C5 that will produce lower AIT's or provide better et's, mpg, or pants dyno results.

I just finished installing a couple hours ago and I will be sure to let you guys know what I think the only thing is I installed a Fast 90/90 set up last week also and haven't had the car tuned with that yet either. Tune is scheduled for tomorrow and I am hoping that between the two mentioned above mods they help me out a good bit!

Sweet! If you are getting on the dyno for the tune remember the Vram will not shine on the dyno. Your gonna have to *** dyno it on the street...lol
