Default Vararam Intake

Anyone know if k&n makes a filter the same design that would drop into my v-ram intake? I say this because the Autozone by me always has a ton of K&n's in stock and I dont feel like waiting for Vram to send me a green filter...unless i have no choice. thanks

K&N does make one, I had one in my car as well as some foam /mesh ones. The K&N worked great as well,...I even compaired it to the FOAM/MESH "race" filter they sell. My car, et'd and MPH'd exactly dead nuts the same as the race filter. So, I think the K&N worked great, with more engine protection.

I'm sorry, I don't have a part number but, I think,..wait, who did i sell my vararam too?....hmm. I think I sold it to my buddy at work(I can't remember) but,..if I did maybe I can get a part number. But, not only would you be waiting on me, you'd be waiting on him.

So what I would do, is go to your car and measure the filter size you need,(take measurments off current filter)....then go to K&N's website,...and you should be able to build it, or find it on there site.

Hope this helps.

werd.

Now that I think of it, I gave the ram to my cousin josh. I'll see if he can swing by the shop tomorrow and look at it on his car,...it'll be easy cause it's not in the car at the moment(manifold swap).

Keep you posted. No I just gotta convince him on a sunday.

Are you useing the old foam style one?

Yeah, I don't like that one too much. It works but, it's just too,..dare i say this, unrestrictive?.....when it doesn't have to be. It looks like it wouldn't ptotect very well but,...I can honestly say, i've seen alot of them, and they have never been torn or ripped. Anyways, again, no need to be like that,...cause like I said, I tried it back to back with the thicker mor durable K&N and it was identical.

doing heads and cam? wicked. You'll love that ****. Pulling into places, will forever never be he same. Have fun with that.

I need that part number too. I assume I have the original one and not the B-2...I think the filters are a bit different.

Ditch the old foam one, there have been cases where the foam has disintegrated.
