Carjack Attempt
Watch your azz out there guys. A work friend was driving his uncles vett convertable around this weekend, with his brother-in-law a passenger, just to keep up the battery and motor. He just pulled out and was cruising when 4 guys walked out and attempted to block a 3 lane road (3 lanes each direction)and hijack his vert. He didn't know what the heck was up it happened so fast...he slowed to a crawl and just squeezed between them and the drivers side dude hit him in the jaw. Then when he kept going, the guy pulls a 45 and fires 4 shots at them. 3 shots missed and the 4th went in his brother-in-laws arm by the elbow and exited his rist. The police got a finger print from the brass so maybe they will find them soon. No word on any loss of use to his arm yet...I'm sure it is F.....up.

No doubt.
It is times like that where having a carry permit would come in quite handy. I would smile, give a thumbs up and laugh to myself if that story ended with the Corvette driver firing back and taking that lowlife, motherfv<king scumbag out with one shot.
I hope the victim fully recovers.

The heat from the firing of the bullet will destroy any legitimate print on the casing. Your best bet is an ID. It alot easier when they are dead. Sad to say. Sadder that they are that stupid to try to jack a car with onstar, wouldnt make it down the street before they shut the car down. That being said I carry a a 40cal glock and a 40 cal sub compact in my waistband. Until enough people complain, the court system will continue to let these scum out after 2 - 3 days. I know. Put a guy away for carjacking and arrested him again 3 days later for selling crack. I demanded prison time on this one. They didnt even speak with me on the last, he was out on bail

Sorry to hear about this incident. I'm really careful when I travel to new areas and always lock the doors.
Glad things weren't any worse and hope the brother in law makes a full recovery.

Society is going to hell these days...
I am not old but look at yound people today. no values, no concept of accountability, makes me sick...
Its a shame America just isnt what it used to be, something needs to change.

Carry, hell. If they walked out in the street like that to try and stop me, I'd pick the most bad assed looking one, and run him down. Then, consider coming back for the rest. I mean, I like 230 grains at 850 feet per second as much as the next guy, but I like 3400# at 70 MPH better.
They tried the same kind of stunt with a guy I know on a bike in the PI near Clark Air Base. He rolled over one of the attempted motorcyclejackers. Might have killed him. When a liberal asked how he could do that, he replied "It wasn't hard, you just have to remember to come up on the pegs." [Ok, I invented that last line, but it was something he would have said if he ever spoke to a liberal].
