Default my results from 3600 and ram air

well my setup is a 2000 z28 with the 224 cam, ls6 heads and all other bolt-ons, 3300 race weight.

i went 11.70 @ 117.10 1.70 60 best, many 11.8 runs with the 2800 fuddle and slp metal ram air scoop,

then i went with a vig. 3600

went 11.60 @ 116 1.59 60' and many many 11.6xx @ 115 runs with 1.60- 1.65 60's ( still on 245 nittos

then i made my own sux2bu ram air setup and the car went 11.64 @ 117.46 with a 1.70 60 spinning, then second and my last run was 11.56 @ 117.1 with a 1.64 60' again spinning

so i concluded that the stall definitely helped me all the way to the 1,000 feet, then slightly lost mph( et would be better with a better tire) and the top end i lost by the stall, i gained back even more then my best with the 2800 after the ram air.

I still had the factory maf and slp lid, i just swapped over to a 85mm maf and the fast toys lid, would be nice to get those results as well but the track closed. I did notice a gain in the 5,500 6,500 range on a test drive, but i don't have proof. next spring i will have my ls2 shortblock, new cam and fast 90/90 with ewp and another 70lbs off the car, so we will see what that gets me, hopefully a 10.9x. Oh and a better tire

It's always nice to be able to go to the track and see your gains after each mod. Congrats!

Obviously you still have more in it, with a set of mt drag radials, you should be in the high 1.5x 60', you make enough power and that stall will def. get you there.

yeah, i went from the stock to a 2800 and thought i would never go back. and now i have my 3600 i will never go lower, i almost want a 4,000 but i do a few highway pulls with my m6 buddies and as of now i can feel the slippage. Thats why i have an ls2 going in that will take 7,000 so i can have more top end.

i don't think i would ever go lower than a 3600 again. with my 3.73 gear it took of normal from a stop well. not to much slippage at all. Do you think it was worth going lower, my car is my dd also, and i don't think the in town mileage was hurt more than 1mpg from my 2800.

I see your times in your sig are pretty good, i was thinking about a 100 shot or so. First i want to be high 10's on a streetable motor. I'm trying to do everything i can to get the car light while still having a full interior and stock 16inch snowflake wheels. I still have about 70lbs i need to get off the car, anything over that will be big $$$, such as the lighter windsheild, a-arms, brakes, and a few other things i have in mind.

And then you get a rollbar and no longer need it cause of the added weight hahah

I used to drive my TCI 4400 with 4.11 gears on the street and had no issues. With the steeper gear, it made the bigger stall more streetable.
