Default Who's gone quicker than 5.99 on 275's?

I'm extremely impressed with how the LSx guys are gettin' it done in some of the 275 classes all over the US. I wanted to see what is the quickest that folks have run so far this year. I believe that ATV Racer, Smith, RPM, and Charles Cyrus have run 5.99 or quicker.

I can't remember his name, but there is a car in the DFW Tx area that ran in TTT5 true street class that ran 5.50's last year on 275's I believe.. he ran a nitrous 408 with ported stock 6.0 heads, hyd. cam..etc.. I think they were switching to a procharger this year.

Congrats to all you guys, hauling *** on a 275 is very impressive.

I know its not a 5.99 but I went 6.375 on a 275/60 on a 8in wheel 3580 race weight . mods in sig . Like I said I know 5.99 is a far cry from 6.3 but I was happy .

I had a set last last all season last year. Well, about 5 months of damned near every weekend at the track. I like to get the tires hot too. Seemed like the more wore down they were, the better they hooked. I cut a 1.31 on them when they were pretty much bald.

John I don't think many racers are interested in posting results. Might be because they are too busy racing, they don't live on the internet, or know one great pass on one track out of one lane is really only a reference.

How do you know Jake?: Do you know the rest of my children?. What's the wifes name?

Thanks for asking my racing season has been great. I've seen folks I know win thousands and thousands of dollars. Got a 50K race coming up in a couple of weeks. Going to Test and Tune tonight - Heads-up racing in Michigan Friday. Ready for someone to move YOUR LS-1 event to the worlds greatest drag strip in NC and I'll be there. I've even seen a half a dozen cars bounce off a few walls, & blow-up this year! It's been A great year. Except for John Force - He needs to retire and we'll tour watching his kids race. Once F/C goes back to 1/4 mile.

I believe in the statement I've made in my profile.... Hell, I haven't figured out how to post pictures yet. Now, you think I could have been someone else, I guess

When someone posts any racing results everyone wants to see a vidio. Then someone else calls that sick!! I think it's sick few folks at LS1Tech follow drag racing............................ I should have my own damn section - once I learned how to post pictures and vidios it would be fun.

Just for the record being a co-founder of this place, I know you're smart. Go jump on the Milan Drag Strip web site. Look at who is leading the points in the 10-5 drag radial class. A guy named JR. he drives a Ford. I'll bet he has a dad. That J could stand for Jake.

Dave Bowman has been a GOOD BIT deeper than a 5.99 on a 275. He has been deep into the 7's in the 1/4(Loooow 5's) on a 275.

10s, it helps contact patch a bit.

A few guys in the TT5 class have been 5.50s give or take a tenth, and some guys in some classes in the midwest have been .40s or .50s with single kits, stock head castings etc pretty impressive for some really plain jane equipment they are working with.

The RPM guys are putting a hurtin on that little tire with those 5.teens though!
