Default 12.22 @ 110.75 on a dyno

I friend of mine just put a new mustang dyno in his shop in june and he a had a dyno day so I went over and helped out for awhile. I was in my 01 a4 camaro and decided to make a pull just to see what it put down (327hp and 348tq). I was pretty happy with that considering I only have a lid, lt's, xpipe, and a pulley now. I put the stock cam and stall back in it to drive everyday again. Anyway he said run the 1/4 and I said on the dyno and said yeah so I was like sure. I had run a 12.6 @ 109.96 at the track and I went 12.2 @ 110 on the dyno, it was pretty cool anyway just wondering if anyone knows what those dyno #'s translated to a dyno jet.

My truck ran a 13.4 on the dyno in stock form, so they are not very accurate.

4 tenths isn't to bad off and the mph was dead on. But I was more curious what kind of dynojet numbers that would be because I had never dealt with a mustang dyno before.

4 tenths isn't that far off??

I'd strongly disagree. If your car ran 13.30s at the track and you claimed 12.90s to a friend, you don't think the 4 tenths matter?

As I've said before, MPH doesn't mean anything but an indicator of power. E.T. is still king, and the only thing I'd voice is from an actual timeslip. Otherwise, you might get caught with your foot in your mouth.

Thanks , no one was trying to claim anything thats why I put the dyno time and the track time. Just thought it was interesting to run the 1/4 on a dyno. Didn't need any bashing.

.4 tenths is a huge difference to begin with but then there's the driver mod ....if you cant get the 60ft whats the point ...cool idea but im more into the real world testing like Villain said i wouldnt want to put my foot in my mouth

I didn't bash, I disagreed.

You're the one that said 4 tenths wasn't too far off.

I disagreed, I offered an example to back-up my side and a word of caution. I didn't say you were an idiot, bash or otherwise belittle you.

considering the lack of resistance from the front tires not moving and the air resistance, .4 isnt that much difference.

this is apples to oranges, and if he tried to dial his car in on a dyno for the track then .4 gets him "fairly" close. take in all the variables that you have, then your close.

Most important thing is it's not taking into account the force that your car has to produce to move the car....weight is the deciding factor...I'm sure you can SAE correct it for weight...but not 100% positive on that...

Seems like those power numbers are kinda high for your mods on a mustang dyno...

Maybe the dyno was on a hill LOL j/k. Your numbers do seem kinda high for a mustang dyno and your mods but i ave seen crazier things
