New 60' time 1.274!!!
I got my car back late Friday night from RPM transmissions after they did a transmission tune-up for me. Thanks Rodney and all the guys at RPM for building me a great transmission, differential, and drivetrain. I had the car aligned this morning and then made the 4 hour trip to Bowling Green Kentucky for their last day of test and tune for the year. BG is not know for the best traction especially with all the street cars on test and tune day. Anyway, the first pass was 1.313 60' time. I by passed the pits and went back to the end of the staging lanes in hopes of getting another pass in quickly. Given the way the car felt on the first pass, I made some suspension, tire pressure, and other slight changes while in the lanes. The next pass was 1.274 to 60', 6.096@111.73 to the 1/8, and 9.607@138.61 in the 1/4. Video and timeslip coming soon. The DA was 1100 -1300 feet. What is most amazing to me is that have Paul Smith's cathedral port, FAST 90mm intake, hydraulic cam, 427 that makes 490 rwhp in my car. My engine makes about 90 more rwhp but it is apparently sold, so I guess I will never know what it would have done with the new suspension, transmission, etc. Oh well, I guess time will tell what is next.

The track was pretty good early but after lots of runs it began to deteriorate. I made two more passes and went 1.32 9.65, and 1.33 9.67. The 1.33 9.67 pass was the same set up as the 1.27 9.60 run, so that shows that the track went away.

DBN's car was putting every bit of that horsepower to ground for sure on this run! Congrats man glad to see the car working so well!!

In my opinion it runs so well due to a detailed thought out plan.

BTW, the engine that is in the car now is not mine but a borrowed 427 from Paul Smith. It is a cathedral head, FAST intake, hydraulic cam engine that won PINKS Atlanta a couple of years ago. If my engine does not sell this week, and no one else wants to buy it, then I might just put it back in the car and run 9.4

Wow I'm embarassed becuase I was the person in the left lane on the timeslip you posted. I was having a terrbile time hooking up at first obivously since I was on ET streets and only cutting a 2.0 60'!! I was coming off the clutch too fast and shocking the drivetrain too hard, so I started coming off a little slower and bam I got a 1.59 60'. Later that day I ran my best pass with the car, 11.57 @118. Congrats on the great 60' time!!

Hopefully in the near future I can get 4.33 gears, chris1313 ram air, 85mm maf, ported FAST 92/92, and a tune and maybe run some 11.20 or something close to that. Oh yea throw some double adjustable coilovers on that list too.
