Default I believe I should have been faster...

So my setup is basically all boltons, 3200 circle d stall, comp cam 224, tune and my best time last night was a:

13.0 @ 107
2.0 60'

Shouldn't at least my trap speeds be faster with my setup?

No one was hooking last night and my DRs are a little dry rotted so I had a hell of a time getting out of the hole.

Whats the DA and/or elevation where you are?

Even on a 2.0 60', you should be running much faster than that. You ought to be able to run high 11s pretty easily with a 1.7-1.8 60'.

Could be the tune, hard to say. Who tuned it for you?

That's exactly what I want lol! High elevens with a reasonable launch.

The guys name is Omer, I can't think of his company name. Everyone around here said he's the guy to go to.

Other reasons I think the tune is off is that. He purposely left it fat cuz he saw that I have a bottle. And the car has idle surge problems and will sometimes die. I figured it would relearn to idle and be better, but not!

I totally understand his reason for tuning it rich, but I dont get him not addressing the idle issue. I would search for a better tune asap. There's a lot left in her, like well over a full second.

And also, nobody's peferct either, it's possible he did forget something. It's really not a big deal if he's willing to fix it.

Tuning it rich is not neccessary just because you have nitrous. If it is a wet kit the fuel solenoid will take care of the extra fuel it needs. That's what it is for. The only thing he should have really been concerned with is taking timing out for the kit. If you were running say 150 shot and he put in the nitrous tune it would probably be around 22 degrees total timing and you would lose about a .10 or so versus n/a or motor tune. You should find a new tuner asap as he doesn't have a clue it sounds like. That car isn't even trapping what a bolt on car usually traps. You are missing at least 6-7 mph.

Where did you run? Was it hot and humid?

The car should have a good bit in it, but if it is full weight and guessing the type of DA you probably had, I wouldn't expect quite as much as everyone says.

For what it's worth my car trapped 109-110mph with a 230/224 cam and stock heads. Now it's 111-almost 112 with 230/238 cam and lightly worked 799 heads. Weighs 3750 or so with me in it. You can probably squeeze out a couple more MPH than me due to aero.

I think you are confusing my car with the OP's car. Judging by what my car is running for the mods, I'd say my tuner knows exactly what he is doing.

I alrea know about pulling timing for nitrous. But you go ahead and spray a lean car, let me know how that works out for you.

I think you need a new tuner.

No Stall, Cam or Gears, my car went 12.887 at 108.49 on a 2.031 60ft with just Free mods LT's and LS6 intake with a Frost mail order tune.

BTW it has 126,000 miles on it.

I'm beginning to think you're right. This guy is named Omer Phelps and claims to be a master tuner for Ls1's. Best part is, I emailed him about my track experience and he said he did what he could, and it must be the tranny or the fact that my car has 130k on it when the tranny was redone 20k ago and the motor only has about 70k on it cuz it was warranteed. Hasn't emailed me back since Sunday.
