Thumbs up 99 LS3 SS - 10.79 @ 128 *video inside*

Friend of mine finally got his car to the track. He only got to make 2 passes though, and tech is strict so after #2 they warned him to slow it down without a cage and such.

60' was 1.78 on pass #1 and 1.69 on pass #2, so there's definitely a lot left in it.

Quick mod list...

Motor:
-Forged LS3
-PRC 237cc heads
-forged rods/pistons
-Pat G cam (23x/23x 113)
-ported FAST 102

Trans:
-4L60e built by silverz28camaro on here
-Yank SS4000 converter

Wheels & Tires:
-17" ET Streets
-10 spokes all around but narrowed in the front with a 185/xx-17 in front.

Susupension:

-QA1s up front
-stock 10 bolt with 3.23s
-LCAs & relocation brackets
-Midwest Chassis TA
-Tubular K-member with upper and lowers

And some weight reduction. Car made 458rwhp on the dyno.

Nice! Car runs strong. Definitely room in the 60' especially with the 10 Bolt and 3:23's. That rear is on borrowed time lol.

That gear is prolly the only reason the 10bolt is lasting. Funny my old motor was almost exactly the same and the car run the same 60fts and times.

I'll see if he can send me a pic of the timeslip. Another trip to a track is planned for next month.

Wow, that's a strong running car. Curious to see the 1/8 times, as well, and what's the weight?

That is a very impressive car. I would have been impressed with those times if you said it was a 408.

Sorry for getting back so late. Been a long week.

1/8 was 6.96 @ 102

Weight is just a tad below 3100 without driver.

Good running car it sounds very strong going down the track. That is about what I have gotten my car's weight down to.

I Love the narrowed front wheels.
