Default First single digit passes *New best with some carnage

Finally got to make some passes and play with the launch and suspension. I was really surprised as I kept upping the launch rpm and tightening the front shocks that the track actually held with these old style 275 MT drag radials. 3200 rpm 2 step 7.5 psi launch I'm pretty happy with that considering it basically a minimal prep for friday night street legal drags. Around 3800'+ density altitude. I want to really dial my launch in and see a 1.2-1.3 60' on a sticky track before I go and crank up the boost. I ran several low 10 second passes which I kept spinning on and a 9.744@141.

Eventually I would like to send the converter back to neal chance and have them loosen it up for the turbo. Right now its a super tight nitrous converter that is not easy to spool up on compared to my buddies ptc.

Thanks guys now I really wonder how fast it would have gone without the air filter on it. I went to a Lsx dyno day and won highest hp barely beating out my buddies CTSV which made 801/813.

101 hp from removing the air filter setup

Congrats!

I thought the benefit of the Neal Chance converters was they were bolted together, and you can take it apart yourself and change the stall speed?

They also make welded ones like this one. I don't know if people can change their own stall speed with the bolt together or if it's just easier to take apart.

Even the bolt together Chance converters you would have to have a few different stators to be able to adjust the launch rpm. Its not an easy or inexpensive to have 3-4 stators to get the convertor just right.

Default First single digit pass *New best with some carnage

Decided to run my car for our tracks last race of the season. It was real cool out and had been raining a lot the last few days. Luckily the day turned out pretty well and the track was hooking insanely good, too good ;( Car picked up a lot and I was super thrilled it seems to like the cool air and the cold air setup. I couldn't believe how hard it 60' and this is still the old MT 275/60-15 drag radial. Last pass of the day the car stood straight up and upon landing blew out both inner fenders and cracked my fender. Hoping I didn't bend anything but I still drove it home in one piece. This was all on 15-16 psi except the 119 mph pass in the 1/8th that was I think 17 psi? I'm definitely over revving and out of the power band because it's not gaining mph in the 1/4 spinning 7200 + rpm. Density altitude was around 2000' which is phenomenal for our track.

I'm kind of wondering if guys are even bothering with the inner fenders? I imagine they will just rip out again next time? Some people have told me that abs plastic repair works pretty well on these fenders, but a 4th gen fender isn't really much money either.

Car moves out nicely. Looks like it pulls hard from beginning to end.
