12.9's - 13.2's stock?
I hear occasionaly of stock LS1's running 12.9's to 13.2's stock. No performance mods but maybe some stickies. Is this possible and how often does this happen? I also see 13.6's as a pretty standerdized 1/4 mile time for LS1 cars. How accurate is that? Underated? Any ideas?

Road and Track tested the 2001 SS at 13.9 ET, but there are guys here who say theirs have runs high 12s. Doesn't add up for me but . . .

at this altitude 5,500 my car runs a crappy 14.7 @ 97mph but the stock 2.73's arnt helping one bit, cant wait to throw on the 3.42's and 3600 torque converter :p. But i have a few friends up here that are runnin 14.1-14.3 stock in their auto's, thats a 13.1-13.3 at sea level. and my friend with an m6 ran a 13.7 with just a lid in his m6.

ALTITUDE! DA! TRACK PREP! We know sea-level tracks like HRP are fast tracks. One member has said he went 12.9 stock and I know of a 98 1LE with a lid only going 12.7 I think...both at HRP. My questions would be 13.9 where...LA? Evan Smith went 12.9ish at probably a nice low sea-level place like atco.
Figure low 13's slipping the clutch in an m6 totally stock at sea-level.

Road and Track/Car and Driver and the like only praise import nameplate brands and basically they SUCK at getting good numbers out of domestic cars.
Magazine racers really humor me sometimes.

I ran a 14.33@97 with a DA of 6500+ so that is supposed to be around 13.2 BONE STOCK. I got it to a 14.082 @100.5 with a cat-back and flopac.
P.S. I love when people say I ran XXX bone stock, with a lid... and a cat-back... and a cam... and a blower.
It just makes me laugh everytime.

P.S. sorry if i have taken this the wrong way

Bone Stock, I ran a 13.47 at 103.5 mph with a 2.06 60 foot on the stock goodyears. I've seen a few 13.teens stock with good tires, and I'm sure a high 12 with a good driver isn't out of the realm...

I apologize if you think I was calling you out. That was not my intention at all. I know LS1's are capable of the times you ran, espicially if it is a strip Z28 or formula. I have seen one go 13.7 here with a DA of 6500+. I believe you completly. What I said was not directed towards you. I just think it's funny when people (not you) say bone stock then add, lid, cat back and the like. Once again I apologize.
