Ray Family Racing Easter Race Report
Happy Easter everyone.
Last night was the 2nd I10 series/Lone star track points race. We had a great time. Rain was nowhere around(50% chance all day)!
We got to make 3 time trials. Madman and I tried somethings during time trials. We got some good set up data. Different trie pressures ands such. Bad thing was I red lighted all 3 times. -.007, -.003 and -.007.
I was very concerned about my reaction times. Madman made a few changes to the set up last week. Car was coming out of the beam quicker. Lets just say, that when my car leaves the starting line it looks like a Stock Elim car now. She is very fun to drive
Now for the race, We were on 2 tech cards. Made it to the 5th round on 1 and 6th rounds on the other(We made it down to 6 cars total).
My car was ROCKIN! We were dialed from 6.58 to 6.50 (1/8th) mile all night. We ran dead on 5 times, which saved my butt on the tree. My lights were from .030 to .086 with my best light of .018 when the car went to the tree(story in the Madman post in the drag tech section). My 60 foots were from 1.39 to 1.34.
Life is good. I am up at the top in I10/track points and I love racing my car. I can't wait for the IHRA National Event in San Antonio this coming weekend. I bet I can get some bumper danging shots. The track surface will be at a all time best.
I want to give a big thanks to Madman. Thanks for the help Buddy. I also want to thank Thunder Racing for a great racing motor and my Wife(by the way she is in the finals today with her 13 year old national volleyball team in LA. Go HJV).
Madman, my girls thank you for all the fun they had last night!
Until next weeks report(should be a good one, IHRA National Event).
