Default Race Report. I am the RED LIGHT KING!

We went out to Lone Star Raceway for our 3rd points race.

I should have known that it was going to be a bad night of racing when my weather station told me to dial the car a 6.66 ET 1st round.

Results 1st round -.0010 RED LIGHT.
2nd round buy back -.0017 RED LIGHT DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have never red lighted 2 times in a row.

We were having some problems with the car slowing down so we made another hit.
Went -.0020 red again. DAMN 3 times in a row.
We did find the the TPS senser was acting up. So, we cleared the code and we made one more hit. This time I finally had a green light .0050.

We think we found the problem. I had 32 psi in the front tires. I normally run 30 psi. Another change we think made the car pull the wheel straight out of the beams instead of up and out.

Recap of the points. Only 10 points for 1st round this week. The only good thing was the guy in 1st place in the points went out 1st round & 2 round just like I did. I should still be in second place only 3 rounds behind. We will have the problems fixed and be back out again this weekend for points race #4.

Have a great one,
Coach

Coach! Well, at least you found what was causing those lights, glad you got everything fixed. Good luck at the next race, I am expecting at least semi-final round report from ya.

Yeah, Coach...at least YOU can blame your car....I have no one to blame but myself. I can run 7 passes between 11.76-11.79 in a row and then RED LIGHT in the first round of brackets... DOH!

bummer Coach, I understand though. I started off last season with 5 red lights of -.007 or closer in the 1st round Definately made drag racing minus the fun factor for a while! I'm sure you'll be back to winning ways again soon!

Coach, don't worry about those red lights to much. Your normally cut awesome reaction times dude ! If you dwell on it to much it's gonna haunt you, so don't let it get the best of ya.

My car has been throwing curve ***** at me in the first round ever since the second points race. The car is deadly first two time trials.. then the last one is always tricky. It's always right as it's starting to cool off and it dropped a whole tenth this last week from 8.725, 8.726 to a 8.623.. Well it's almost an hour and 45 minutes between that last time trial and the first round so I was figuring with the temp change and cool down time I might be ok to dial that 8.62. OAT had dropped at least 10-12 degree's car was well below 200 deg so I dialed it. When I left the line I knew I was horribly late, but the guy beside me that had dialed a 8.12 was not really catching up at the 330' mark so I just kept in the pedal then he just shots past me and had plenty of room to play so I hear him over there playing a freaking tune on me and started cussing. Car fell back to its slowest time of the night with a 8.739 and not only that I had a lovely .704 light. When I checked his light I just ripped the ticket up and threw it in the floorboard in about 30 pieces.... I had lost to a guy with a .749 light........ My lights are all over the place cause I keep trying to figure it out. I think I have it down in the time trials(all in the .5's then first round I red light .470 and up. I lost in the finals the first night after have 5 great rounds with the cars e/t staying very close up until I was playing tunes on the other cars. So...., this week it was a stupid dial, last week I broke out by .0008 and the week before that a 4.82 red light.... all after a first night in the finals I've been pissed.... Coach... I feel your pain. I gotta change something.

Nate, do you have a weather station prediction unit? I use a berry grant one. Most of the time it will tell me the correct dial to run. Best Mod for bracket racing you can buy.

Nate,

Tag makes one that is about $430, and they are a popular choice around here. I just use a standard weather station and keep good notes in a logbook. That's usually enough to figure the dial-in, of course I keep lots of info with me

Coach bad luck last weekend. I have had a little of your luck this year also. Last Saturday I went -.002 in the second round. Two weeks ago I lost one my .007 to his .002. But when the thousands go our way watch out Frank95z
