Default This Weeks Race Report

The race started off kinda bad. I blew the tires off on both time trails. I made a desperate call to Madman on what to dial the car. He told me to use the data from last week to dial the car, drop the tire pressure and do my job. Drive the DAMN car.

Well, it worked. I cut a .017 light and ran dead on. A 6.7201 on a 6.72 dial.

Second round I got the bye and again ran a dead on 6.7203 with a .019 light.

3rd round I cut a .0071 light and ran a 6.80 on a 6.68 dial. I dumped it real hard at the top end so I didn't breakout.

4th round I went .0110 on the tree and ran a 6.653 on a 6.65 for the win.

5th round (the semis) I dialed a 6.64 and when the lights came down I dropped the hammer and all the car did was spin to a 1.59 60ft.(normal for the night was 1.39 to 1.41) I coun't run the number(a 6.90 on a 6.64) and my night was over.

The good, we are now #1 in track points. The bad, it's time to buy another set of slicks. Man, I am going to have to be real nice to the wife to be able to buy another set of slicks.

PS. Madman, am I still fired?

Good advice, don't overthink it and don't red-light! Glad to hear you made some rounds and congrats on the 1st place in points Coach!

I'd figure with the car running what it does, the wife would be used to you asking for money to buy stuff, or you already have a set of knee-pads??

My knee-pads are just about wore out! She did however tell me that I don't have to miss this weekends race. Sweet!!!!!!! I can protect my ponits lead now. Man, I love her!

Nice !!!

I would hate to see you 1st round, or second, or third....

.017,.019,.007

Impressive.

'J

BTW: Maybe dumb question, but do you run any sort of delay box, or are you in a 'footbrake' class ?

Footbrake class all the way. I work really hard on my reaction times. I practice a 100 lights a day on my practice tree. Practice is the key to cutting good lights. We have a big race this weekend. The I 10 series and track points at Lone Star raceway Sealy, Texas.
