Default finally some decent #'s from my futral f14 car

anyways first pass felt great... but the lights in the right lane weren't working.. so i have no clue waht it ran..

went back around lined up... hotlap.. and she hooked good off the line.. was trying to find the best point to launch from and let the converter flash ect.. trying to learn something

left about 2000rpms ran 1.64 7.58 @89ish

third pass or 2nd timeslip left about 2500 i got was 1.637 7.58 @ 89ish.. clearly i needed to let it cool down so i did

4th pass left at 1400rpm and got a 1.617 7.540 @ right at about 90mph not sure... this pass felt about = to the first pass i didn't have a slip for.

5th and final pass.. had the tires at 13 lbs.. shoulda gone to 11 or 12.. left at about 900-1000rpms and just let the converter flash... lil spinning, lil wheelop, made for a 1.72 60ft...... however even tho i lost a tenth, i still ran 7.58.. it had gotten a lil cooler, it also went 90.85mph that pass..

so all in all i feel i was just the right combo from a 7.45-7.49.. if i could have hooked that pass i feel i could have had a 1.59-1.60 60ft... and really feel since it still went 7.58 off a 1.72 i could have been in the 7.4's...

but hey, nothing broke, had a great time, cant wait to go back...

also was carrying around a few extra lbs of **** i never took out.. so i got a lot of room to grow i think.. going to change the plugs and 02's hopefully soon... she smelled a lil rich and seemed to have a lil miss at sometimes cruising down the highway....

btw car was picking up the front tire about 4-5 inches for 10 ft... .. hope to have it in the 7.20's soon enuff

well i will later on.. figure i ran 8.06 witha 2.06 60ft at 89 mph

then went back adn 60ft 1.61 with the new converter and tires and tune, ran 7.54.. picked up 4.5 on the 60ft but only 5.1 total and no mph.. i wonder if there is more power in there now for sure..

A tune should help. We're running about the same with similar mods minus the cam on my part so a comparison to my car may be valid. Jeff Creech found 15 more horsepower on my car across the board with a maximum gain of 25 horsepower in the midrange when I carried to car to him for a dyno tune. (Went in with 314, left with 328.9) I ran 7.53 @ 90.0x before the tune. I didn't pick up as much as the power increase dictated when I went back to the track but my tranny had decided not to make the 2-3 shift anymore so it was hitting the rev limiter. Still, given that it ran 7.48 @ 90.2 with a 1.57 60' and and a 330' time of 4.70. The 4.70 330' time lets you know how much quicker the car actually was. 7.30's were a given on my car after the tune had the tranny cooperated. Your car should run about the same as I did or probably even a little quicker/faster.

That big convertor is getting the job done at the start now find some more power with a good tune and make up that mph!

Sorry to stir the pot, so to speak. Now I remember your post about that situation. Please don't think I'm some kind of *******, OK? Yeah, you should be running a whole lot quicker and faster than my car. I'd think you should have at least 50 horsepower on me as well. I'll hit you with a PM as I'd like to talk to you a tad about the Durham situaiton off the boards.
