Default Quickest and Fastest 346 N/A?

Regardless of transmission, what is the current LS1Tech record for 346 N/A?

Nope, my car went 9.28 with a 408 in it. I'm sure I could go a 9.80 with the right 346. I got a video of one of my 1st passes last year.

408 or not, your car is a freakn' monster!! At any rate, it sounds like there will be some quick 346 cars this season.

Monty Bogan was running 9.4's last year running IHRA Top Stock. Stock throttle body, 9" tires, 3000 lbs, and stock compression ratio. The rules were changed to allow a sheet metal intake and bigger throttle body this year, so low 9's should be the norm for Top Stock LS1's.

At stock compression, stock throttle body, 3000# he's have to be making 650 hp to run 9.40's and trapping at like 140mph

Please explain his set up, I'm having a hard time believing this on a 408, let alone a 346.

We went 140 mph with a 346 in a vette, NA. Car made 530 rwhp but we broke 3 rear ends that day. Needless to say, it didnt hook

I don't think so. That would be a neat trick though!

It's public record. Both Bo and Monty run LS1 Firebirds.

http://www.ihra.com/raceresults.php?...ode=%27TSTK%27

What makes it even better is that they run factory head castings with a 210cc intake runner limit and factory size valves!

The rules are on the IHRA web site under Tech.

Only thing that's public record is the they ran the time. Not what's done to the motor to get it there

To bad you and others involved in those car find it more fun to troll this board taking pot shots than to share even a little information about them.

1. Monty Bogan Jr. '01 Firebird 9.454 138.94
2. Matt Morgan '69 Camaro 9.491 139.17
3. Tom Rix '74 Apollo 9.558 137.76
4. Paul Mercure '68 Camaro 9.593 137.55
5. Frank Teuton '70 Duster 9.679 135.65
6. Bo Kenney '01 Firebird 9.797 138.07

I'd like to know if the stocker guys can run valve reliefs or have to run 10:1 flat tops. To be honest, 9.45 is pretty darn fast and I can't see a intake and throttle body only making that happen.
