Default 5.62@120 with a 1.290 60ft on drag radials (1/8 mile)

This is the setup......don't laugh, this car was built with a very small budget and a borrowed rearend.

hydrolic roller 382 with 10.1:1CR.....LS6 intake with stock TB and ported 98 heads.
TH 400 built with a brake
Moser 12 bolt with 4.10 gears
325/50/15 MT drag radial
subframe connectors
10 pt chromoly cage
Wolfe adjustable lowers
stock uppers and lower A-arms in the front.
stock swaybar
stock torque arm
Hals all the way around
all dry shot with 60lb injectors that have alot left in them

The car mph on the run before was 124.....but I had to get out of the bottle on this pass (hence the low mph) cause I almost hit the 330ft marker, once I got straight again I turned it back on...The car has a 5.55 in it with out a problem.......This is not near all of the bottle out of the hole. I imagine a 1.25 is in reach forsure. The car twisted so bad that it carried the left front wheel about 80ft out before it finally came down....lol

Great drag radial times. Good luck with the combo.

I leave off the full throttle activated 1st stage and grab the second stage, which is on a button, about 20ft out. It will do a 1.35 60ft on one stage and I am sure If I hit the second stage at the same time that I leave off the brake then the 60ft will come down even more. I was kinda not wanting to do this since we don't have any suspension on the car and I have already been on the bumper in another car. Without any swaybar it is hard to say if it will go straight with both wheels up 10ft in the air. LOL. It doesn't have any wheelie bars or anything. I tightened the front up to act similar as travel limiters. It helped out tremendously. If we would have had enough time to run again I would have tightened the front up one more and probably the rear also and sprayed both off the brake......I wanted that 1.25 60ft and the 5.5x pass. I guess that will have to wait for next weekend.

As far as the 1/4 goes....at this point we can't make it through the traps with 410 gears. We will probably go down to a 3.42 or lower.

could you explain your secrets to how you get the car to hook off the brake? most everyone going fast on the radials are footbraking it for best results.

and 13 psi? thats lower than i thought they should be run at. but again most arent hooking it off a brake. very impressed. i appreciate any advice as i am setting up a similar car.

actually, most of the cars going the FASTEST on radials are going off the transbrake, i'm still amazed that its hooking that hard and not destroying the stock torque arm

I'll bet the stock torque arm is the key to his set up. He's got the 10pt and the frame connectors, keeps the frame rigid plus fine tuned with the Hals. Going off the brake with the stock torque arm probably doesn't shock the radials too bad and he's got the dry shot to make enough power to pull the 1.29.
Then again, what do I know? I'm still stuck in the 1.4's.

I think each stage makes right around 140 or so to the tires.

By the way....I wish the frame was alittle more rigid. This car twist so bad you wouldn't beleive it. They are tubular subframes that were already on the car and they barly work at all. We need some boxed ones.

All I know is that those DRs hooked up like a bitch. The fastest 60ft I have been is a 1.27 and that was on a slick....More to come I am sure.

I'm with Gator, I havent heard of to many guys having luck with the Tbrake.

My car is 3650 raceweight and has seen a 1.32 on 325/50's off the footbrake

I'm scared of the Tbrake I have shook the tires a few times off the footbrake and my 12 bolt doesnt like it at all
