Default Congrats Ohio Boys! Drag radial win!

Mike and Steve had their share of hurdles last night. Car ran 8.55 in qual's and also a 8.27, but that time seemed bogus on the clocks. They had a leaking intercooler and needed some luck, but they went to the line anyway like great racers.

In the semi final, they lined up with #1 qualifyer Philipowski (ran 7.92 in qual's). Mike stood the car up and stayed into it while Philipowski had serious traction issues. Mike held off the late charge on the top end to make the final.

In the final, Mike again had a tough opponent. He put it on the bumper again but the other racder red lighted to give Mike the win. Way to go Ohio Boys! Here is a video of the final:

Congratulations. A win is a win any day, tomorrow could be your turn.

Is the 8.52 their best todate? What size are the radials?

Again outstanding job

They have ran a few 8.5s on the radials with the yellow car. Remember it is about 3700 pounds with driver. Not sure about the size.

Definitely. You don't see to many red lights on a pro tree either.

I was at Milan and caught a few of his passes.

Thanks everybody. But I didn't actually get the win because I'm a dumbass. I didn't know he went red. The car stood up and it came down hard. I pulled to the left and looked in my mirrors behind me and didn't see anything. So I rolled down the track watching the gauges. I went past the scales and back to the pits to check the car. That's when I found out he went red. They said rules are rules and that even though my car is 360+lbs over weight for the class. They gave him the win. Live and learn I guess. It won't happen again.
I did end up putting a small crack in the oil pan. That's number 2 for this car. 1 for me and 1 for Steve. Time to keep that from happening again.

I'm running the 325/50 MT Radials. Plan is to take the month off get some thing changed around and get back to it the first of August. If W2W can get the new motor done.

The new race won't be out till next year.

Awe that sucks Mike. That is correct though. Passing the scales is a worse offense than red lighting. Assumptions Sorry to hear that man

I just read the scale incident on competitionplus.. What really sucks is that you are probably 300-400 overweright anyway and theres no way you could have been illegal, but rules are rules..

Does the car have a set of travel limiters on it? That should aid keeping the car off the launch pad at Canaveral

Nice runs, both looked good. Once Flipper hooked he was freight training but it just wasn't enough. Gotta love heads up racing.
