Default I hate stupid cars at the track....

Wed night at Etown 2 cars in front of me is this 9 sec. regular then right behind him and in front of me is this stupid Shelby Cobra Replica thing on street tires that has no business at the track IMO and certainly not in the slick tire lanes.
So the 9 sec guy makes a nice pass, then he Cobra guy does a nice 1 wheel burnout and gets sideways in the box. The he rips off a 2. something 60', again sideways.
I was gonna try a transbrake launch but I'm thinkin' this idiot just dragged water all the way to the line with his street tires(not DR's) and his 1 wheel burnout. So I decide to go off the footbrake and I cheated over to the left just a bit thinking I'd try to avoid his mess.
So I pull the wheels up and sure enough when the front comes down my car had made it's way to the left, close to the wall.
I get out of it and wrestle her straight and just coasted down, cursing the idiot, his car and the official that put him in that lane to begin with.
Sorry for the rant,...

Yep TNT nights at Gainesville can do the same thing.
I'm thinking running all the slick tired cars in one lane and radials in another would be a good idea. That way the track groove doesn't get watered down or ripped up in one lane.

Happened to me plenty of times too, don't get me started

Another thing that pisses me off is when people take forever to stage their car. THey will be screwin round doing a bunch of dry hops or just revving up the motor. Meanwhile your car's engine gets hot and the tires cold. People need to learn to do a good burnout, stage, and go. That way its takes less time for everyone to get their runs in.

I've seen more so called "drag cars" break down in the lane than ones with street radials, which takes forever to move the broken down drag car, pick up all the pieces and then clean up the mess. Also, at certain tracks, the crew put way too much water and there is no way to get around the pool of water.

I agree but this was at Etown, plenty of room to go around the box.
I'm not against people racing on street tires, in the street tire lanes.

I usually go every wed nite unless weather is bad. Shoot me a pm when you're ready.
Maybe we can get Cartek Alex to run his ride there too

Alex is coming for sure! I have already talked to him. He would come to help me lol and of course make a pass since my car has his old setup on it.
