Default new best... 9.33 @ 148.07 mph :) finished r/u at local event

after trying to figure out my n2o surging issue, i decided to dial it back out of kill mode and run what i have run for 4 solid years.

well my surging problem went away and the car became its old self again!

1.30 60'
6.00 @ 116.87 mph 1/8th
9.33 @ 148.07

a huge thanks to my friends who helped between rounds, and Erik Bradby EB Porting, Brian Harshaw engine builder and Dave Henninger @ FAST.

car went .42 and .47 in qualifying, then went .56, .65, other guy red lit, and then .33 in the finals. i lost to a 568 ci BB with 2 pro foggers on it, he went 8.44 in the finals on one stage. guess he didn't any more than that for me.

man was it fun to rape that gearbox! thanks Joe and Amber, those keys are working just great as is the trans since the milan "trailer rebuild"!!!!!

Stenod,
my logs showed my wot off to wot on was .3 seconds per shift. i showed 4th gear no mercy!

time for bed.

Congrats T-man! Seems there's always someone faster, but a 9.33 in a LT1 based street car banging gears gets lotta respect from me over a 568 BB with a lotta spray.

Good show, any vid or pics?

Congrats Taner! I am jealous of the kind of 60 foot times your car is capable of Do you still have 4.10's, are you on a 28" tire? And how much spray do you use... multi stages or progressive?

thanks everyone!

Coach, it is nice when you can pay for the weekend when you go racing!!!! i got lucky in the semis but definitely made my way through the other rounds. i figured i could go 2 rounds and lose in the semis, but a couple of cars had issues and i ended up in a great position to make it as far as i did.

my wife was good enuff to take videos from the crows nest(thanks honey), i can't wait to watch them i still have yet to completely unpack the truck, lol!!! i felt like i was hit by a truck today!

still 28" tires and no i am not running the 4.11's anymore. i am trying something different. how much spray, well that is top secret! :topsecret: just need to pick up the other packs of jets so that I can try the bigger hit. all i know is that am i always learning something about this stuff called n2o. but it has been a great learning curve, especially since i learned early on how not to spray the car! lmmfao!
i went to a plug that was one step hotter and the plugs looked perfect when i pulled them out at the end of the track, prior to picking up my slip.

vids soon to follow.

David,

funny after t'n't friday afternoon i knew i had to go back to what i could tune on MY car blindfolded, well almost and sure enuff my issues went away! and i got to focus on getting the most out of the car that i could.

PSJ,

I would have to agree with you on that one

Chrispy,

well i have to take my home PC to install a new firewire port, because when my PC was fixed, they couldn't use the one from my VAIO case, grrr. and i forgot to ask them to install a new one! so i am about to sign off and go get this firewire installed!

Intimid8,
car went 1.30 on 3 passes! suspension was dialed in great, i might have been able to eak out a bit more but i didn't want to mess with a good thing! lol!!

who can i send my vid to so that it can be posted? tia!
