Well, after losing in the first round of a heads up street car event we had this weekend, I followed up with a 10.07@131.6. Also a new best 1/8th with a 6.38. I was the only small block in the class, and happened to run up against the eventual winner.


Setup is a 346 with 5.3 heads, 238/243 cam, TH350 with 4500 PTC stall, 9" with 3.89's. I launched on a 100 shot, and kicked another 100 at about the 330'. Hopefully I'll be in the 9's next time out.

Good luck getting in the 9s soon. Why not bring in the second stage earlier like say 1 or 1.5 second. Your losing short time if you dont bring in the spray as quickly as the track conditions will accept.

I was a little short on parts, and we don't really have any speed shops up here. So, I have to let the car come back down and shift into second before grabbing for the second kit. I know I'm leaving a few tenths on the table with it, but it's in the works of being fixed.

I'm trying to represent for the late model cars up here. It's pretty nice when you have big block cars calling me out with my little 346. I think it could be good for some 70's on the same shot with a quicker activation and some morning air.

Congrats, what tire you on? I did 10.doh @ 3300 raceweight and with a 150 shot hitting it off the line.

I have 325 50's. I wanted to do an even split on the shot, and have cut several 1.38's with the 100 shot. I just hit the extra shot too late. Maybe it's time to buy a controller to see what I can do on a 150 launch + another 100, or try to find a way to hook the 200 the whole way. My goal was to be faster than Pinkenstein (sorry) on the 150 shot with cheaper parts, and no shop help. I kind of skipped the whole 150 shot deal, but I think it could be there with a little more testing.

Bring it I'm still footbraking it. Are you? My goal by Labor Day is to launch with 150 on the plate, then throw another 150 through nozzles. We need to stir up a little competition to set a new stock cube nitrous record.

Oh yea I am. Left off the footbrake on the 150 shot and broke the rear and trans right there. Got a 9 inch in it now putting a stock 4l60 in it to make passes while my other gets built up. looking to leave on a 150 and bring another 100 as soon as possible.

I want 9.60's cam only plus nitrous in a 3450 pound car.

Maybe we could make a deal out of this. That record's been around a while hasn't it? Maybe we could get a sponsor to put up a bounty if it's done with their parts or something? I had too much going on this year to be able to put a brake on the car.

that would be super cool. I use HSW for my nitrous parts but use a nitro dave controller.

I wanted to put the th-400 I have sitting in the garage but I want to drive my car on the street a little so 4l60 for me.
