Default Kirkey Pro Drags Installed Pictures

Just finished installing both seats in the car using the racecraft brackets. I'll be ordering a 6pt Wolfe bar next.

Looks good.

I like how you mounted the stock seat belt retainer things... I never thought of that.

But I'm thinking about selling my one Pro drag now..hah

I haven't seen anyone use the stock guides on there either. The seats look nice. I want to get two of them for my 93 when I put the cage in, but I'll probably end up waiting.

It might be cheaper to have a local shop build a chromoly rollbar for you and it will probably fit tighter.

Thanks for the idea about the seat belt retainer, I want to keep that too, even though I have the 5-point harness. Just picked up my Kirkey about 12 hrs. ago.

Approximately how much weight is saved with this setup? Are these seats strong enough to run without the added bracing from the cage in the rear? I believe a cage, and some kirkey or Jaz seats will be the winter mods.

Maybe about 20-25lbs over a stock leather Camaro driverside seat.

My Kirkey Pro Street felt weak until I added a brace.

I weighed the 16" Pro Street and it's 13lbs. I don't have the cover yet but I imagine it's about 2lbs. You then add the bottom seat mounts and the back brace and your only saving about 12-15lbs. I did it more for the harness trying to fall off my shoulders and the cool factor. LOL The 4th gen. Camaros have the highback seat compared to the Pontiacs which have the seperate head rest. The harness works better with the head rest seats if that's what you had to choose from.
You need the back brace at most tracks, but some will let you slide.

My mistake, you were right, it's more like 20-25 lbs weight savings depending on the brackets.

Mine was a power cloth seat. Weighed more than I thought.
