Finally, new 2009 Nitrous combo is done.....Pics within
Well, after having to deal with 2 job layoffs this year, I have finished the new race car combo. It took alot of work, from initial EFI issues, to programming issues, to problems with the new BS3 crank trigger...you name it and I think its happenend....
As of right now, I'm waiting to bring the car to the dyno late next week. Once that is done, I will hopefully be making some track passes soon. If all goes as planned, I'll be running a local True Street 8.20 Cap class for the rest of the year, and going to the LSX Shootout down in Memphis, TN in October.
For those that don't know, I ended up building a completely new engine/trans/nitrous system combo this year. Just last week, I switched to a new wheel and tire combo fresh from Weld racing. I'll bet there wont be too many of these wheels out there yet.
The engine is a 427 LSX, Callies Crank, GRP Aluminum rods, Diamond custom pistons, ETP C5R-X heads, Performance Induction Solutions 2 piece intake, Nitrous Outlet/Nitro Daves Direct port system, 4 Stage ARE drysump system.
Now I currently have a Coan Big Dog Glide built by Baxter Racing, and going try out my new converter from Lenny at Ultimate Converter Concepts.
Should be a fun year when I get this thing down the track.
Here is an idle video of the car from yesterday. Make sure you click the HQ button under the video for a clearer, better sounding video.
