I always made sure I could fit my thumb all the way around and it was fine. Also watch the inner body underneath where the back seats are.

I had my 28x10.5's like this on my 2000 Z... Keep in mind that fitment will vary whether you are running Bogarts Welds or something else.

Rob,you need a minumum of 1 inch on the front(metal). Back side needs the same but you might be able to pull it back a little.I thought 3/4 of an inch was plenty, then at Straightline on the dyno they rubbed like crazy.Had to do more hammering. My car is ready to rock and roll again!!!

Rob, do you already have adj. lcas if not you will have to trim a lot more than usual, but 1" all the way around will suffice!

I've run 28x10.5 ET Drags and have not had them grow over an inch in the past 6-7 years, have gone as fast as 145mph on them.

Over 1 inch ,NO. i agree. 1 inch yes,so 2 inches in total tire diameter. Just got done yesterday cleaning the rubber off the inside of the front lip of the rockers.New tires are on ,better offset rims(thanks Chris),and the restalled verter is feeling nice and LOOSE!
Can you say low 1.30 60 fts.
