Default Modded M6 guys, what do you launch at?

I just bought a modded SS about 2 months ago and I am finally getting around to taking it to the track this saturday before Cecil closes. Its a low CR 402 (getting twins over the winter, just want to get a baseline NA time) with a SSI stage 4 T56, spec 3+ clutch, moser 9" 3.70 gears, full suspension, 470rwhp. I used to have an almost stock (deleted muffler, pro 5.0 and lid) 2000 Z28 M6 that went 12.8 on street tires, launching barely off idle slipping the clutch, to scared to break anything. Now that the car is pretty much bullet proof, I can really launch the car. I've never raced anything with this much HP or built up before.

So what is everyone launching at, what RPM and side stepping the clutch or slipping it? Please only modded cars! Thank you!

as high as the track will hold and dump it

with my old setup (heads+cam) the track would usually hold about 5500-6000 and net high 1.5's low 1.6's. got it to hook a couple times on a 75 shot off the line at about 5800 and cut 1.50's

now on boost i havent been back on slicks yet

What tires are you using?

I'm only at 402rwhp N/A, but my drivetrain is built. I drop off a 2step at 5700 rpm without batting an eye

btw, hold on

I have a cam only m6 car making just over 400rwhp. I launch with the 2-step set at 6500-6700, 28x10.5-15 ET Drags at 10-13psi depending on track conditions, and I cut mid to low 1.5 60' times.

Highest launch is at 6500 off the 2step. Best 60' is 1.48. Looking for 1.3's in 2010 hopefully!!

Instantly letting go of the clutch or "dumping it" as apposed to slipping or "riding" the clutch out..

Thanks for all the replies everyone, greatly appreciated. Unfortunately I'm using 17" MT ET streets. The last day for the track will probably be this Saturday so I wont get skinnies/slicks by then, next season. Guess I will start around 4500-5000, due to tires. Well see.
