M/T Sportsman Pro Question
Probably could have posted this in the tire section but I think I can get better and faster answers here.
With that said, is it ok to street drive on these tires? I live 30-40 minutes from the track and want to know if I will have problems driving to the track tomorrow night.
Thanks

I drive the Formula to the track with my M/T Sportsman Pros on (about 25-30 minutes each way), and they work fine. Obviously keep in mind they are a tad softer so they will cause the back end to be a little "mushy" compared to a regular radial, and depending on the roads you are using the soft rubber could be torn up a little (rough roads versus smooth blacktop).

Ok thanks I live in Keystone Heights and I am going to Gainesville Raceway. Roads are pretty good along the way. And probably getting very close to needing new track tires.
Next question, how many lbs should I run them at on the street? At the track I usually run them at 15 lbs.
Tektrans, what do you mean "compromised"?

Sportsman Pro DOT fronts is all I ran on the front of cars for the last five years... For the fronts I ran them at 30+ psi I think... whatever they reccomend.
For rear drag radials I ran them at 14-17psi cold at the track but would air them up to 25-35 for the street.

Thanks guys.
I think I burnt them up last night got close to 40 passes my self and they had a few on them when I got them. 60' times were down a tenth but 1/4 times only by .05. Had fun though.

I have close to 250 runs on mine, but my car is much slower, and softer on the initial hit Can't wait to get a set of ET Street radials when they are done....

I will try to upload a pic of them.
How far can you take them down? I also heat the pretty good too, mine are only 26x9.50. I tried short burn outs and I spun. I Love when she dead hooks.
