--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i've run into what i think is a power management issue and wondering if others have this same problem.
car launches hard, powers the wheels up to knee high gets about .9-1.2 seconds in to the run and smokes the tire while its carrying the front end.
at this point its above 5k rpm and the ramp there is very smooth and subtle.
i'm thinking this is where the motor is really starting to make power if it were N/A and the litte bit of nitrous its getting is just over powering the tire.
here's my question.
does any one get to a spot that early in the track and usually have to "ramp down" the nitrous to smooth out the power curve?
is this a common problem with big inch BBC? its a 565 BTW.
any help or common occurances?
i'm either going to pull nitrous or early shift is my thinking next trip out.
thanks,
tyler

even with the car hanging the front wheels in the air you think its the suspension? you think its binding?
also i have madman parts on the car and have talked to him quite a few times... i told him i'd holler back today... i'll let you know what he thinks

talked to brian a little today... in a nutshell, i'm going to take travel out of the front and throw more at it on the starting line.
should be interresting.... if i can get the whole ramp in over 2.3 seconds and 60' in the 1.27 range she'll be in the 5.2x range on a light tune-up.
if i find my self in the 20's next weekend there will be a few test sessions to follow with larger pills.
150mph might be pretty obtainable with this setup...lol, poor old holley heads are being abused i tell ya along with my 2" primaries for headers...

i dont really have anything to add but spinning the tires while the front end is knee high probably is a good thing and means your making some power.. lol! hope you get it all worked out and get some killer times
