For me at the level I'm at now it's the only option. The guys I hang with are all about the "street car" scene, even though many true street cars are towed just in case of breakage not because they can't make the trip. I only live about 20 minutes away so if I break it's not too hard to get a ride home.

Drive to the track on slicks, bust off couple 10 second passes and drive home, about 20 minutes to the track for me.

step 1. pack 2 28" etdrags, 2 skinnys, jack, tool box, impact gun, helmet, cooler

step 2. drive 95 miles to track

step 3. run mid 10's

reverse process and go home

as much as i love beating on a lot of the trailer cars, i am getting tired of the hassle. guess im getting old

no place to put a trailer at my house

I drive mine more than I trailer it, but sometimes changing to the slicks at home during the summer months outweighs doing it at the track when I run stuff with the transbrake. The ET Street radials do make the drive to the track, put it in the lanes and race, then drive home when done very nice!

I drive 40 min. to our local track. I would rather tow it, but can't afford the tow rig since we just bought a house and added a new member to the family.

I drive mine 115 miles one way to the track usually on drag radials. Longest I drove this setup the track is 250 miles one way. My all time longest was driving to Byron Raceway and back. So far so good.

It's much nicer to be able to load it up, and not worry about breakage. That, and the truck has a much nicer ride than my open header LS1.
