Default Should I go with a 2 step?

Car is M6 with MT DRs, full suspension and strong drivetrain. I seem to have trouble quickly getting the car to 5 or 6K after staging before launch. I also find it a bit awkward to achive 5 or 6K and beyond with any consistency while on the line. Pedal seems pretty touchy at that RMP level also. Do I just suck at this, or would a 2 Step fix my problems. What is the down side of a two step? My Cats are removed so no problem there.

TIA
Mike

Definitely get the two-step! No downside at all.

It was the best thing I ever put on my old AWD Talon. You can fine tune the launch with the RPM ****, no more botched launches! And if you're feeling frisky, can shift with the gas on the floor - the 2-step will limit RPM between shifts with the switch on the clutch pedal (can make some good backfires out the exhaust!)

Yes!!! I went from high 1.8 60' times to mid 1.5s by adding a 2-step. No other changes were made to the car. I'm running a Lingenfelter LNC-002.

You don't have to be in a hurry and go on green. Just pretend you have a turbo and you are getting it all spooled up. Your RT will suck but who cares. Oh a 2 step will make you more consistent.

Is anyone here running the 2nd part of lets say a Lingenfelter 2-step where it does not activate under speed. Its the 2nd component that deactivates the 2-step once it starts to see MPH?

I figure this would be a item I will be getting eventually but figure ask the questions now.

** The way it was described is that if you use the 2 step through out every gear, it helps with HIGH rpm shifts but I do not have that issue and wondered if it was going to hurt.

2 Step 5K launch, progressive controller set at 50% - .5 ramp -to a 150 shot

First time every using a 2-step this weekend. Cut a 1.48 with a new personal best of 10.42 @ 134.

On this run It backfired a little under the car.. I assume this is normal? Anyone confirm? Also first time out with Wolf Sway bar and Madman AFCO shocks... feel free to critique my launch......

Oz700Z Clutch and GM Master cylinder.

Thanks for the advice everyone. It looks like I'll be going with one, any advice on MSD or LPE. Seems MSD is the better choice given price and user comments on this board.
