Question SRT-4 times??

This girl down here owns a new dodge srt-4 neon and she just recently raced the car at the near by track. (I havent personally spoke with her) but she wants to race me very bad and keeps talking crap about me and my car. She claimed she ran a 14.3 bone stock...its just a little hard for me to believe. I never thought they were that fast. Especially since my friend owns a tt 300zx and ran a 14.3 and he beat an srt-4 by about 3-4 cars. The numbers dont seem right for a bone stock srt-4, or am i wrong? By the way...i live in Colorado at approximately 4500 feet. Im not too worried about racing her becuase i beat my friend in his Z car by about 2 cars.I havent raced my car at the track but I have a good feeling i can take her. Maybe im too caught up in my own car...but is the neon really that fast? Or is she lying about her car being stock? And by the way...according to my friend that keeps me informed in all this...he says shes a decent driver, but not the best. Give me some input about this...also, i will keep everyone informed about the race

car and driver tested it and say they run 0to60 in 5.3 and top out at 153 and run the 1/4 in 13.9 @103mph the 0to60 is about the same as a ta, but it takes a good driver to run them that good b/c of traction problems

A buddy of mine had his SRT-4 at the track yesterday, both he and his wife drove it numerous times and i think that the best time that either of them ran was around a 14.4. I could be mistaken and i'm sure he'll let me know if i am. So 2002Silver-WS6 chime in whenever
Oh, and the only mod that he has is a blow off valve

A friend of mine has an 04 SRT with intake, open exhaust and different motor mounts and it ran a 13.76 @ 102 with a 2.2 60' at over 4000 DA last weekend here in West Texas.

I have a SRT-4. When it was stock with only two hundred miles on it i went 13.82 at 102.5mph. I now have a couple of mods that should get me near 13.5 on street tires.

These cars are hard to launch. I was getting consistant 2.0 60fts on stock tires.

14.3 For a stock SRT-4 sounds right. A friend of mine bought one and ran that exact time stock. I raced him and had him all though 1st and 2nd but he inched by me when he hit 3rd gear. But you got a LS1 and an auto so you would probaly have her if you were to race. But more importantly is she good looking? Girls that like fast cars and acutaly race them seem hard to come by.

Actually...she has a nice body but the face could use some work. Im almost afraid to speak with her...for the mere fact she would **** me off. She claims she beat several z06 vettes and a supercharged TA. And did I mention a 911 turbo? Im going to smoke her *** soon tho...shut her mouth. Cant stand **** talkers.

I'm his buddy.
The best I did was 14.2@ 98.6 with a 2.3 60' with teeth chattering wheel hop. My wife drove the car about 8-10 times hot lapping and got numerous 14.4's out of it. On a cold day and better 60' the car should definately be in the 13's.

Me and my better half have a 03 SRT-4

I ran it to a 14.10 at 99.7 stock with 500 miles on it.

My girlfriend just pulled off a 14.04 at 97.9 (2.0 60ft) with nothing more then our exhaust system.

I recently drove a modded stage 1 car (270 hp/291 tq) to the wheels and it feels like a 106+ trap speed car.

They are quick and fun to drive but not in a stock LS1's territory unless modded.

Is there a stage II kit out for them? This guy who lives nearby claims to have a stage II turbo upgrade, and that he's putting around 310 to the wheels.

It's not a ricer *******. The SRT-4 is American made by a company by the name of Dodge since you didn't know that.

if you love your Z so much, just go out there and beat them at the track or street and stop running your mouth about how much a domestic car that runs 13s all day (the 2004) is. that car has way nearly a 1/3 the motor you do and can still run with you. i would be ashamed if i lost to one.

Doesn't GM have part ownership of Subaru as well as SAAB and various other companies? I don't really give a rat's ***...just food for thought.

My grandma drives a neon, and if you can roll a 13 second pass in a STOCK grandma car then ROCK N ROLL brotha. I think that's pretty cool as long as the keep those famous DODGE head gaskets in good shape. Ha.

Hell, the haters are just pissed because F bodys are supposed to be the baddest cars I own one, and it's cool, but what's cooler than a boosted little bastard that can run with a V8. Beside, if you halfway know how to build your F body, those cars won't even come close to touching you. How many 11 sec Neons do you know? Not many.

my brother has an all stock srt-4, it went 14.1@99 his first time at the track...

I wouldn't talk **** on the car, it's under 20 grand and is practical for a family(4 doors). I just wish he'd take off the wing!
