if your stock, i ran 13.54 with a burnout in my A4 till it shifted to 2nd w/ pedal to the floor, then launched at ~1500rpms(not much spin from what i heard). Then i did the same burnout but launched around 2000rpm and ran a 13.42, still from what i heard no traction problems but i will bring someone next time to confirm this, even if it does spin, i still ran a MUCH better time and my 60' improved from a 2.1 to a 1.98. My MPH was the same in the 1/4, just the ET changed...

edit: i forgot to mention all of this was on the stock GS-A tires with roughly 20k miles on em, lookin to get some Eagle F1's and hope for some good traction with the new tires!

need a little more info...by starting at a higher rpm, im assuming you mean stalling up (or just revving if your an M6).....best way to not spin is slap on a set of drag radials....

also, what do u mean by lunge forward? isn't that what they're supposed to do when you launch them? (no flame intended, i just dont get what you mean.)

Just curious, how did you launch a stock A4 at 1500 RPM, let alone 2000 RPM? Also skip the F1's (not what i would call good for traction) and go straight for some nitto's or BFG's.

99SScamaro- we need a little more info.

mine too....nittos and all...

they aren't bad at all....BFGs on the other hand...from what i've heard, you do NOT want to run them around in the rain.

how safe are that like highway speeds and sharp turns and such in the rain? there are a few spots around me that are wicked, went out of a Wal-Mart lot and spun in a 180 on a BARELY wet surface goin like 5mph

cowboy- just go with the nitto's. They aren't all that bad in the rain, and there is a night and day difference between them and F1's on dry pavement.
