Default first day out, first break of the year! lol!!!!

oh brother, oh well time to get the cobwebs out. track was horrible! they prepped the launch pad and that was it. it was a great day to race as well! great air, and cool temps. first pass car went 13.68 @ 114, lmao!!! second pass i had to lift in first , second and third, ran a 15.xx. third run, car went 11.7 @ 123. fourth run car went 11.50 @ 121, fifth run went 11.60 on a 1.52 60' carried the front wheels about 15 ft. about 6inches off the ground, car left nice and straight, need to take some air out of the rear air bags. then i skated all the way down the track as soon as i grabbed second, then third, lmao!!! i was trying to data log this run so i flipped on the n20 (no bottle or fuel pump turned on) car went slower, unfortunately i knocked the cigarette lighter adapter out before i flipped the n20 on, doh! but the car did go slower. then the next run and i did have a crappier 60', and ran 11.2 @ 121 but i didn't turn the n20 on until 4th gear, and again i knocked the adapter out.

then on the last pass i launched and the car tried to make a right turn into the christmas tree thank god i wasn't sleeping!

the whole day i was skating down the track, and as the day wore on the track did get a bit better, but unfortunately for me i drove the car back on the trailer and called it a day. i have never had to drive the car down the track like i did yesterday,

congrats to my good griend Rob for getting some new personal bests in his 97Z, 12.4's @ 111 mph! just some bolts on and a cam shaft in it.

i yanked the centersection out, THanks Rob! i think the dowels broke on the inside of the locker. i will send it back to Moser tomorrow. i have about 2000 miles on it, i am really surprised that it broke! their customer service has been good before, i will find out tomorrow how good it really is!

i upgraded to the Full Locker, with 35 spline gundrilled/star flanged axles about 18 months ago. just over 100 passes on the locker. anyone else have this happen?

yep, have a spool in my Nova as well, no breakage problems. Just fun around corners in the rain though....

i hope to back out next saturday, i need one good day of motor passes before i hose this thing april 18th at Mid Michigan. cage cert and license passes that day. i have a feeling a spool is the way to go! i will see what Moser can do for me. i have faith in them, last time i had a problem, i wrote a letter, made a call and shipped the pig, it came back with new gears and new bearings, of course it was setup ready to go in

it was still nice to drop the hammer at 6k

my locker let go randomly after 1000 miles and not much track use, happened a couple weeks ago.

i sent the locker in a week ago to try and have Moser cover it, they better, cuz its bullshit that it happened.
