I used some in 99-00, and this was before I had drag shocks.
Before our circle all got drag shocks, we were all racing at GLD and getting mostly very low 1.6's... After I swapped in the 1995 'camaro V6 rear springs I was able to hook a little better than the other guys. As soon as the drag shocks hit the scene the V6 springs had no advantage. But they are a cheap alternative for a while, and also help radial cars. But the serious 'rodder will outgrow them like I did my car would squat too much in the end, let me look for pics.

I used mine with the time in the sig. I just got rid of them because I went to Autofab's coil overs.
I was using them with Hal's so I was able to stiffen them plenty.
Probably best suited for high 11's and slower.

I've got my original factory rear springs and QA1 rear shocks on my car, I've cut a best 60' of 1.374 and average 1.41's normally with slicks (all motor).
Before I had slicks and race on ET Streets, I was cutting 1.5x and before that I used to race with Nittos on the back and 275/40 front tires I was cutting 1.8x 60's.
I went through all that with the stock springs, I can't really say if the v6 springs would help, I've been happy with what I got so far.

Oh to add, I went from 1.62's to 1.57's back in 99-00 again without drag shocks.
I would say if you never plan to get drag shocks then trying a set of pre 1998 V6 springs might be interesting, more so if you are on drag radials.
