Default Project Because F***king Race Car

Hey folks, decided to share my for the hell of it car with you all;

98 Z/28 T-Top
370 iron block (Wiseco -11cc slugs, Eagle Rods, Stock Crank, King bearings)
UMI Suspension
Strange SAs all 4 corners
Ported LS3 Heads
LS3 Intake Manifold
Twin TC66's
E85
TH400
9 Inch
Single Kirkey
6 point

Just got started on striping the interior, all plastics & carpet remover with exception of the driver side pilar.

and now PICS!

My 5.0 DD & Z28

Interior come apart like Legos!

I LOVE how it looks bare

I'm debating if I should gut the dash or not, I kinda want to keep heat & wipers

What I've done to with the engine thus far (still waiting for the professional to check bearing clearance).

taking off the main caps

caps, bearings, nuts

Bearings installed

Me looking like I know what I'm doing

I know its not much, but I feel accomplished with whats been done.

Nice start man, I don't know if you already have the TC66s; if not I would go for something else. PT6266s or something big a big turbine.

Good start should be quick but I'm wondering why only a 6pnt with a t-top car, not to preach to ya but always better and safer to over build just some food for thought, any updates

Slowed down a bit but made a few purchases;

Strange SA Shocks for all 4 corners
300# Hypercoil Springs for the front
UMI Drag Bar, Sub-frames Connectors, Adjustable Rear Control Arms, HVAC Delete Panel
Speed Inc TU2 cam & pushrods
PRC .675'' springs

I also received my Kirkey and blot in bracket from RaceCraft, but have no clue how to install (HELP!!!)

Got called back into work at the start of the month AND my old lady told me she was a month pregnant on my birthday day weekend (turned 25)

Old LS1 dropped out

78BuTurbo, I hear ya, for the most part its a street car & I'm **** about T-Top functionality.

Another small update, bunch of boxes with my name on em, HVAC out, HVAC delete panel in and we're chugging along

My sexy Strange setup with UMI's equally sexy drag bar
\

Still have a big hill ahead, need to get my 9 inch & TH400, fuel system etc, but alas progress is being made!

Yeah just pulled all my A/C stuff is out under the hood, but I still wanna remove the box from the firewall, ditch the ducting, and run some small plastic tubing to the windshield and feet to retain the heater like Chrs1313 did on his car.

Since my local track is an 1/8th, I be pleased if I dipped my toe into the 5s & got kicked out for lack of tech, most of the big events are in Vegas, Bakersfield etc, I'd love to run some 10.60 index events.

Irwindale/Toyota Speed Way. Autoclub in Fontana (where they host Nascar) closed down their 1/4 mi due to the locals complaining about 'noise pollution'. As far as I know Willow is a road course.
