Default How much faster would an automatic be?

Right now my heads/cam SBE T56 car is going 10.90s @ close to 126 in 2000 feet and cuts 1.51 60s. I know they are alot more to it than just saying it'll go x amount faster with an auto. But assuming a properly set up 4l80e swap how much faster could the car go? I'd realistically probably never ditch the stick but I'm just curious.

How much horsepower? What gear is in the car? How much does it weigh?

Not making a tremendous amount of power only going 126, but that MPH should be good for at least a 10.30. A good bit of his poor et versus MPH in his 60'. At least two tenths right there. IMHO, the T 400 doesn't have enough low gear for his power level. A good T200 & ATI converter would wake it up.

When my car was running 126 mph it ran 10.50's with mid to high 1.35 - 1.38 60 fts. That was with a 4400 stall Yank converter.

I think that is the norm. 2 tenths.

Get ur 60ft down more and it won't make it faster..

My back up engine used to run 126, and was real steady in the 10.30s to 1040s. Usually 1.32 to 1.34 60'. T350 with stock gear set, ATI converter.

I missed this from back then. The car cut a 1.51 on the 10.92 at 126 but also went a 10.95 on a 1.59. I assume I short shifted. Trap speed also dropped 3/4 of a mph it only trapped 125.3 or so on the 10.92 pass. And I've never weighed it but I was still running the stock k member and it had a 9". Did have hvac deleted and no back seats. Guessing 3300 without me.
