Converter change questions
With my bolt on car, stock rear, 3.23 gears and drag radials, my yank ss3400 would help my car cut 1.69-1.72 60ft times and 1/8 mile was 7.90-8.1's at 86mph. I have since installed a Tooley stage 3 cam, (231/242 .617"/.592" 112+2) Moser 9" with 4.11's, LCA's and umi adjustable torque arm. Pinion angle at -2. Dyno'd 380rwhp on a dynojet and now cuts 1.75-1.78 60ft and runs 7.75-7.85 at 88mph. I have sent my converter off to yank for a restall to ss4000 specs. I was really looking to run 7.50's with this setup at 90+ mph. Is this a realistic goal? I am hoping I can cut mid 1.6's and get there. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance.

Converter is not going to change the MPH unless it is more efficient, so you may have to add some HP to go 90+.
Gearing up may help the ET & MPH with the new cam, but run it with the new converter first.

UPDATE: Best time with the SS3400 was a 7.80 at 88mph with a 1.72 60ft 1900 da.
Restalled to 4000 and on a similar da, car went 7.48 @ 90mph with 1.57 60ft. Was on a MT Radial Pro both times. I was very satisfied.

your new 60's are close to mine on motor with mt PTC 4000 nitrous converter so my guess is it will respond very well with that converter. Should be in the 1.4s easily.
Also are you pushing up against the stall or leaving off idle. Mine does better pushing up against the stall. Try both ways, they're all different
