Default Where would you shift it

I usually try to shift at 6300-6500. Do you all think I should shift sooner? Car now has 28-11.5-15 qtp on it. Trying to secure my 11s time slips next 1/4 trip. Had it 11.75 once and breakages and driver mod has only netted another best of 12.001 @ 117 I think. I'll have to dig back through the slips. Just need some advice on where to shift her with the stock t56

If it were my car, I would raise the redline to 7000, and shift it at about 6800. You seem to have a good valvetrain setup.

I think on the dyno the person should have taken it a little higher to see where the power really starts to fall off.

But if it's carrying at 6500 still like 93camaro said I would try 7k. If your tranny ratio drop is huge between 1st and 2nd then you may need to go higher.

But maybe try 1-2 -7000, 2-3 6800, 3-4, 6600.

You're in Oldsmar. 25 minutes from me. Howdy neighbor!

Wherever you shift at, your shift drop needs to be at your peak rpm.

Thumbs down Over 7k dyno graph

Here is the graph from a different dyno at a car show summer of 2013. I took to 7100-7200 rpm. Sounded damn cool although I do worry about the stock bottom end holding together

I'd shift at 7k seeing your dyno sheet. If you run a shift, light set it to 6800 and call it a day

Yeah I think I agree. 6900-7k on the 1-2. Then maybe 6800 on the 2-3 and maybe 6600 on the 3-4.

I'm with the others and set the shift light at 6800. That's where mine is at. My 2 step is set at 6300 for launching. Also with those 4:11 gears in the rear end you might want to go with a 26" tire over the 28". I've had pretty decent luck with the 26" ET Drags so far.

I tried 26" et streets with no luck. Plus I'll be spraying it very soon. Had my best results on a 28" qtp so I went back to them and haven't been to the track yet this year. So next time I'll shift it higher and see what happens.

And howdy neighbor.
