can I run with no rear sway bar?
I am at the track and my drag bar just broke the car runs about 750 in the 8th can I just disconnect the other side of tHe drag bar and run it with no bar
I am at the track running for points but I don't want to have a wreck
Anyone ran without a sway or drag bar in the rear?

no it was the rear sway bar and I tried it and all it did was lift the front left tire about a foot off the ground and the right tire stayed on the ground and it pulled toward the right towards the wall so I just got out of it and coasted down the track.
I am just going to race my Durango tonight.

Well, this is true for leaf spring cars, but not good advice for a torque arm suspension car. With the springs being the locating devices of the axle as well, and their mounting being farther apart, your roll-center is much different than a 4th gen car. I would absolutely not recommend drag racing a 4th gen without a rear sway bar. The car will be borderline uncontrollable and very unstable

I probably could have raced it if I had just pointed it to the left, but I decided it was too risky. I have done it before with one side connected and just pointed the car the way it needed to go. It did about the same thing. I was hopping that disconnecting it would help, but it didn't. At least it was the first pass out during time trials and I was able to run my Durango even though I only won one round at least it was 10 points.
